There are many ways to show support for genocide prevention. 

Here are 25 actions you can take to learn more and involved: 

  1. Visit the website of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and learn about the history of genocide.
  2. Learn how the global community can prevent genocide. Read More than an Ounce Required.
  3. Watch a movie about genocide using our list of movies.  
  4. Print copies of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and give to friends
  5. Read the recommendations of the Genocide Prevention Task Force, co-chaired by Madeleine Albright and William Cohen, which set out a blueprint for US policymakers on genocide and mass atrocity prevention
  6. Learn about the massacre at Srebrenica, in Bosnia, by “visiting“ the Memorial Center Srebrenica-Potočari
  7. Commemorate the Rwandan genocide by “visiting” the Kigali Memorial Centre
  8. Organize an event at your local book store or library by using our list of books on genocide
  9. Watch Schindler’s List, a movie about the Holocaust (or organize a screening at a school, house of worship or library).
  10. Learn about how Yad Vashem, the Holocaust museum in Israel commemorates Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Day.
